Exporting Chatbot Conversations

Product update live since: 15 December 2025

Chatbot interactions often capture more than just answers. They show how students think, ask questions, and work through ideas over time. Being able to revisit those conversations outside the platform helps extend their value.

You can now download chatbot data in two formats in Chatbot within Edcafe AI, making it easier to review, share, and keep records of student interactions.

Download All Chat Sessions as Word Files

You can also download all chatbot conversations at once as a ZIP file containing individual Word documents.

This supports:

  • Reviewing full student conversations in detail
  • Keeping records for documentation or moderation
  • Sharing selected conversations for discussion or training

Each chat session is saved as its own file, making it easier to navigate and reference specific interactions.

Download a Summary CSV

The summary CSV provides a structured overview of chatbot activity.

This is useful when you want to:

  • Review participation across students
  • Track usage or engagement patterns
  • Share a high-level record with colleagues or administrators

The CSV format makes it easy to sort, filter, and reference chatbot activity outside Edcafe AI.

Why This Matters

As chatbot use grows, conversations become an important part of the learning record.

Having access to both a summary view and full conversation exports allows teachers to:

  • Move from live interaction to reflective review
  • Keep documentation without manual copying
  • Use chatbot conversations as evidence of learning or engagement

By making chatbot data easier to export and reuse, this update helps conversations remain useful well beyond the session itself.
