Product update live since: 26 November 2025
Every class uses quizzes differently. Some teachers rely on them for practice, others for checks for understanding, and many for formal assessments. Edcafe AI now supports all of these needs with three new quiz assignment modes. These modes give teachers more control over how students experience a quiz, while keeping the workflow simple.
How Teachers Can Assign Different Quiz Modes
Assigning a mode only takes a few steps.
Open your quiz, click Assign Quiz, choose Classic, Practice, or Assessment, and share the link or QR code with your students. They can join immediately using their name.

The Three Quiz Modes
1. Classic Mode
How it works:
Students see the entire quiz at once, and feedback is shown only after they submit all responses.

Best for:
Lessons where you want students to think independently before reviewing their answers. This mode supports focus and reduces interruptions during problem-solving.
2. Practice Mode
How it works:
Students receive instant feedback after each question.

3. Assessment Mode
How it works:
Students complete the full quiz first, then see their feedback afterward.

Best for:
Formal assessments, quiet independent work, or moments when you need students to stay on task without immediate corrections. This mode offers a more traditional assessment flow.
Background Music
Practice and Assessment quiz modes now include the option to play calming background music while students work.
This small addition creates a more focused, comfortable quiz environment — especially during independent tasks or longer assessments.
Students can choose to keep the music on or turn it off at any moment — giving them control over their learning environment.

Why Three Quiz Modes Matter
Different learning moments call for different quiz experiences.
Whether students need support, independence, or structure, choosing the right mode helps them stay clear and confident as they work. Teachers can now align quiz style with lesson goals without changing how they create the quiz itself.
This update is part of Edcafe AI’s ongoing effort to give teachers tools that support meaningful learning, flexible planning, and smooth classroom routines.
