Product update live since: 11 November 2025
You can now add a Quiz Introduction in Edcafe AI.
This new section helps teachers provide context, instructions, or supporting materials before students begin their quiz.
The Quiz Introduction supports text, links, images, and audio, giving you flexibility to communicate expectations clearly and help students approach assessments with confidence.
How to Add A Quiz Introduction
- Open a quiz in Edcafe AI.
- At the top of the editor, find the Quiz Introduction field.
- Add your written directions or context for the quiz.
- To make it richer, insert links, images, or audio using the toolbar or type “/” and select the feature you want.
Your introduction appears right before the first question, creating a smooth transition from instruction to assessment.

What Students See
When students open the quiz, they’ll see your introduction first.
They can read your overview, view any visual references, or listen to your audio clip before starting.
This short pause helps them understand what’s expected and approach each quiz with a clear mindset.

A Small Addition That Makes a Big Difference
Teachers often use the first few moments before a quiz to remind students what the topic is about or to calm pre-quiz nerves.
Now, that same guidance can live inside your quiz itself.
By combining text, visuals, and voice, the Quiz Introduction turns a standard assessment into a guided learning moment — giving students clarity, confidence, and purpose before they start.
It’s a small addition that can make your quizzes feel more personal, less stressful, and better aligned with how students actually learn.
